Bitter Sweet home coming

Sabra came home today. When I got the call I was at first relieved to hear she was stable enough to come home. I was however shocked to see she is unable to walk or hold herself up right now. She seems very weak, and is on super strong antibiotics that I have to inject her with 3 times a day. I was hoping she would be in much better shape upon returning home. The bad reaction appears to a combination of the chemo and a urinary tract infection that has been resistant to treatments for some time. The combo of these things has really set her back. Her right foot was twisted in today when I got her up on a sling to get her home. She had this before a while back but not to this extent. I took her a chiropractor who was able to help quite a bit with that situation then so I called her office tonight but they are closed for the weekend. So Sabra will be fairly immobile for the next few days. The hospital said they were sending her home because she was stable enought to move and the bill there was getting really high and they were not sure how she would be doing so if the worst case sceneario happened they wanted her to be home with me. I am so devastated at that news. They are unsure if she will recover from this setback even after all the treatment and hospitalization. She has proved their pessimissem wrong a few times already & I truly hope she does it again. It is so heartbreaking seeing her in this situation. This dog is like my child and my best friend. We've been together half my life. I am a total emotional wreck over this. I wish I had some better answers.
